Mrs. Dawn C. Hays
Founder, President
Mrs. Dawn is married to Michael and they have two sons, Ben (17) and Brian (16). Together, Michael and Dawn have homeschooled their sons since 1999. They are in the home stretch with Ben entering his senior year and Brian right behind him as a junior.
Dawn loves good books, movies, and the theater. A total nerd, she would rather diagram a sentence than attend a sporting event. (She will cheer for all Olive Plants in their athletic endeavors, though.) She frequently takes birding trips with her friends and family and has over 100 birds on her life list. Mostly, she enjoys being at home with Michael and “the boys” drinking a hot cup of tea (preferably chai).
Mrs. Carol Hurtado
Mrs. Hurtado and her husband, Percy, have been married for over 27 years. They have six children ranging from college to elementary age. After teaching for 7 years in a Christian school, Mrs. Hurtado came home full-time and we began our homeschooling journey. Our family has been homeschooling since 1998 and have graduated three of our six children. Mrs. Hurtado has been with Olive Plants as a tutor since 2016. She loves having the opportunity to teach in the classroom and to assist and encourage others on their homeschool journey.
Mrs. Christy Holloway

Christy has been married to Eric for 18 years, and they have four sons, ages 13 to 21. They have been dedicated homeschool parents for 11 years.
Christy has previously served as field trip coordinator and vice president for WGHSA. She bakes, scopes, and helps Olive Plants tremendously.
In her free time (haha) she gardens and watches funny cat videos.
Mrs. Mandy Lamb
Treasurer
Mandy graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy. She is a full-time homeschooling mother to five amazing boys and is a part-time pharmacist in LaGrange. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 16 years. Together, they hope to raise men who are on fire for Jesus!

Mrs. Cassi Wisener
Mrs. Cassi Wisener holds a B.S. in TV Broadcasting from Toccoa Falls College. She has over 15 years of experience working in broadcasting, advertising, and marketing. This is her 4th year homeschooling her 2 boys Jacob and Caleb. Mrs. Cassi is quoted as saying, “We have done the public school, private school, homeschool route and can’t believe we waited so long to homeschool, but now that we have we can’t imagine school any other way!” Mrs. Cassi loves teaching and is so thankful that she can continue using her degree.
She is an avid reader, loves to travel and find new and interesting cuisines along the way, has an insatiable appetite for history and dearly loves her pit-bull “puppies”, Ellie May Clampett and Roscoe P Coletrain.
